About PAW 2024

Ready yourself to be at the forefront of data privacy!

The Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is an annual gathering of data privacy practitioners and professionals, celebrated through Proclamation No. 527 series of 2018. The event provides an avenue to learn more about data privacy and connect with experts in the field, as data privacy practitioners and professionals share their best practices, theories, and programs that boost data privacy and compliance in the Philippines.

With this year’s theme “Data Privacy For All: Embracing Inclusivity and Diversity,” the National Privacy Commission (NPC) wants to create a more holistic and nuanced conversation about data privacy for all Filipino data subjects regardless of one’s background, identity, or circumstances.

PAW2024 focuses on promoting inclusivity and diversity, emphasizing the universal right to data privacy for everyone.

5 ways to celebrate PAW (For data subjects)

1.

2.

Take control!
3.

Be vigilant!
4.

Add data privacy into your everyday routine.
5.

Knowledge is PAWer! Be an advocate by sharing what you have learned about data privacy with friends, family, and the public. Share and use official PAW materials to foster awareness within your community.
